Inclement Weather

If it is necessary to delay or close school due to weather, notices about CIS will be available through several means:

* A recorded message at the school phone number (704-455-3847, ext. 9)
* TV Channel 3 (WBTV)
* Their website at: http://www.wbtv.com/news/closings
* TV Channel 6 (NBC) and their sister radio stations: 99.7, 102.9
* Their website at: http://www.wcnc.com/closings/

We will attempt to announce the status of CIS classes by 6:00 a.m.

Should weather conditions deteriorate during the course of a school day to the point that it is necessary to close school, the same media will be alerted as to the School’s closure. Children whose parents miss the notification will be cared for at school until the normal pick-up time.

If the power is out and the main office numbers are down, backup phones will be installed on the fax line. (704-455-4672)
