Russian Delegation to Visit Carolina International School
Leaders in Youth Advocacy Meet Parent Involvement Team Leaders
HARRISBURG, N.C. - Carolina International School (CIS) will host a delegation of 10 Russian leaders in youth advocacy programs on Friday, November 19.
The delegation will first be welcomed by an assembly of the CIS student body at 9 a.m. A meeting with the sixth grade class, whose Sister City is Vronezh, Russia, will follow at 9:15. The visit concludes with a panel presentation and discussion about parental involvement in American schools with leaders from the CIS Parent Involvement Team at 10 a.m. The visitors include Ms. Tatiana Bolshakova, Ms. Irina Ezhova, Ms. Elena Kaunova, Mr. Rachit Khabiboulline, Ms. Tatiana Laysha, Mr. Dmitrv Orlov, Mr. Eduard Smirnov, Ms. Oxana Smirnova, Mr. Audrey Tumanov and Ms. Galina Zubankova.
The visit is in partnership with the International House of Charlotte, which is sponsoring the delegation through the Community Connections project of the U.S. State Department.
