Carolina International School to Hold
Educational Extravaganza and Winter Bazaar

HARRISBURG, NC. - Carolina International School (CIS) will host its first annual Academic Extravaganza and Winter Bazaar at the Harrisburg Elementary School campus on Saturday, December 11, 2004, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The Extravaganza will feature presentations, performances, and displays of student work during the previous six-week term. Following the International Baccalaureate curriculum’s Primary Years Program, this term’s theme is “Where We Are in Place and Time.” During the morning students will share the products of academic projects, demonstrating a wide range of topics and styles.

In the afternoon, students in the school’s enrichment programs will present, especially the school choir and drama teams. Other offerings will include “Mad Science,” Tae Kwon Do, ballet, chess club and competitive trading games.

The Extravaganza coincides with the school’s Winter Bazaar, a fundraiser for service projects and campus development. Throughout the day activities will include a silent auction of gift baskets and lunches available for purchase. Admission is free to the entire event. For more information, please contact the school directly at 704-455-3847.
