NEWS FROM THE PIT CREW!!!
The next PIT Crew meeting will take place on March 8th at 6:30 in the Media Center. Allare welcome! Chairs or Co-chairs are asked for their committee updates. If you are unable to attend please have a written update given to one of the Crewmembers. Each member has a mailbox in the copy room in the office. State Testing
State testing for grades 4th and 7th will take place on March 1st. According to a scientific study, a student who eats a healthy breakfast will test better. The PIT crew has provided a light breakfast for any interested student.
“Dance With your Daughter or Son” Dance
Thank you to all who attended the February 20th “Dance with your Daughter or Son” Dance. It was a resounding success. Thank you to Anna Montgomerie, Dee York, Lynn Abbott McLoud and all the volunteers who made the dance such a success. A special thanks goes to Mr. Brooks Bostic (Colin Gibson’s stepfather) who donated the use of the ballroom at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, uptown.

Ladies Night Out

Scholastic Book Fair
The Book Fair is steadily approaching and we are still in need of volunteers. If you are interested please contact Charlotte Halperin at Chalperin@carolina.rr.com or 704-503-0753. Please note the following dates:
March 16th, Wednesday Teachers preview from 12-4 PM
March 17th, Thursday All Day preview for the students. No purchases at this time,
March 18th, Friday Opened for business from 8:30-4:00 PM
March19th, Saturday Book fair open from 9-12 at the Education Extravaganza.
March 21st, Monday Open for business 11-6PM
March 22nd, Tuesday Open for business 8:30-12. Pack up by 3:00P.
Charlotte is need for volunteers on Friday night to break down the book fair and set up at the Extravaganza on Saturday morning. If you would be willing to help it would be greatly appreciated.
Helpful hint for the month
Sore Throat? Just mix 1/4 cup of vinegar with 1/4 cup of honey and take 1 tablespoon six times a day. The vinegar kills the bacteria.
