How You Can Help: Items and Services Needed

It takes a community to raise a school.

Carolina International School exists and progresses because of countless contributions: by staff, parents, students, community members, and corporate partners.

We invite you to be a part of our learning community. You can contribute a skill, some supplies or equipment, or the most valuable non-renewable resource—your time.

Service Teams

Service Teams that provide assistance to the school. These include:

·          Athletic Service Team – Supporting and developing the CIS athletics program. (Coaches, referees, acquiring sponsors, fund raising)

·          Environmental Education / Campus Beautification Service Team

·          Media Center Service Team- Preparing our library for book circulation, donations, cataloging and volunteering.

·          Grant Writing Service Team- Researching, planning, writing, submitting and evaluating grant funding.

·          Drama Service Team- Support the development of the CIS drama program.

·          Publicity Service Team- Preparing press releases and reports, maintaining contact with the media.

·          Welcoming Service Team- Host campus guest, welcome new CIS staff and families, organize community-building events, outreach to CIS staff and families in need, assist with special events.

·          Fund Raising Service Team- Establish annual fund-raising goals and coordinate fund-raising plans, implementation and use of funds.

·          Teacher Encouragement Service Team – Providing support to our teaching staff, snacks, meals, instructional supplies, etc.

·          Continuing Parent Volunteer Opportunities – Help room parents, office support, teacher support, building and grounds projects, hot lunch support, tutoring.

·          International/Multicultural Service Team- Assist with international community connections and with The Annual CIS International Festival.

·          Room Parents – Assist the teachers with scheduling of class parties, field trips, special assignments and miscellaneous tasks.

We are seeking a CIS parent/guardian to coordinate our media relations: preparing and distributing press releases, greeting media representatives on campus, and archiving media coverage of CIS.
