Meet and Greet Picnic

All new and returning families are warmly invited to the Carolina International School Picnic Gathering on Sunday, August 14th. Pack your picnic and join us from 4-8pm at Shelter #1 in Dorton Park. Dorton Park is on Poplar Tent Road, off I-85 exit 52. Go northeast on Poplar Tent about one mile through two lights, and the park will be on your left. This event is being organized by the parent Welcoming Committee.

The First 20 Days

We want to remind all our CIS families that attendance on the first 20 days of school is especially critical, because our school’s funding from the state is calculated based on our average daily attendance during this time period. We hope everyone will be ready for perfect attendance those days, so we have the maximum resources for our students for the duration of the school year.

Absence on the First Day

If a new student is absent on the first day of school, we will make every attempt to contact the family. If we are unable to reach a parent, that student’s slot may be given to the next child on the waiting list. If you are new to CIS and, for any reason, your child cannot attend the first day of school, PLEASE contact the office and to explain the situation and confirm your intentions.
