The excitement is building for next Saturday’s Academic Extravaganza and Winter Bazaar!

Location: Harrisburg Elementary School (4900 Stallings Road—please enter the building through the bus parking lot.)

Academic Extravaganza (9 a.m.-noon)

The day begins at 9 a.m. with the Academic Extravaganza, featuring student presentations, performances, and displays—a wonderful opportunity for our children to share with you the excitement of what they learned during the Term 2. A schedule of events will be sent in the Tuesday Folders.

Winter Bazaar: Pizza Lunch by Pre-Order Only (Noon-1 p.m.)

The Winter Bazaar begins at noon with a lunch and bake sale. Pizza, salads, and drinks can be ordered for lunch, but only if you pre-order. You can download this form and send it to school. Orders must be received by Wednesday, December 8.

Silent Auction

The lunch hour will also be a time to shop for many wonderful items in Ms. Sweet’s 4th Grade Gift Shop and at our silent auction. Here is a sample of the great items that have been donated by CIS families or area businesses:

• A Gaylord Perry autographed bat and baseball card
• Two tickets to the May race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway
• Two one-day passes to Paramount’s Carowinds
• Hand knit items
• Gift baskets provided by the classes
• Many, Many more items!

CIS Introductory Meeting for Prospective Parents (Noon-1 p.m.)

Do you know families that are interested in enrolling in CIS? There will also be an Introductory Meeting for prospective families from noon-1pm. Friends and family are warmly invited.

Student Performances, Raffle Winners, and More (1 p.m.-3:30 p.m.)

Starting at 1:00, students from our after-school enrichment groups will be performing: drama, choir, ballet, guitar, piano, Tae Kwon Do, Little Ninjas, and even Mad Science!

During the course of the afternoon, we will be drawing the winning tickets for our raffle.  You can order raffle tickets on this form.  Send the completed form to school and your tickets and a receipt will be sent home with your child. You do not have to be present to win. Just a few of our raffle items include:

• Gift certificates to area restaurants
• A six month membership to Peak Fitness
• Two holiday show passes to the Old Courthouse Theater
