Science
CIS offers science in all grades and the academic program is designed according to grade specific skills to develop an understanding of the earth, environments and the study of living things; topics include matter, energy, plate tectonics, origin of the earth and solar system, environmental awareness, the cycles that circulate energy and material through the earth’s system. In addition, students may study cell structure and function, adaptation, classification, environment and ecology.
Our students attend to outdoor gardens that
are particular to each grade and are connected
with instruction. The Spring Peepers Trail is a
frequented addition to outdoor studies.
